The lighting in my chat show was not very good, it created problems as we had to shut off all the lights in the room and only have one row open at the front where we set up the equipment, tables etc. Also we was using a green screen so we had to separately set up the lights for that as well, which meant it had to be in front of the table and so we had problems adjusting them to be at a good angle so that it covered the green-screen and also didn't get in the cameras way, another problem with the lighting was that it effected the green screen as it created shadows as it was shining on us and then creating a shadow behind us, also the lights of the green screen do overheat very quickly so we only turned them on when we needed them and had to do it mostly in one take, and we cut it if we did a mistake or there was a delay, so we had to stop the cameras and then re-record which may have effected the continuity of the show, but it was amended in the editing stage to a reasonable level. 

Another problem was actually setting up the equipment, due to the classroom being quite restricted in terms of space we had to work our way around the tables and chairs that were set up in the classroom, as we were only two people we had to film me coming onto the stage and the guest as well, so one of us had to operate the camera while the other one was walking and since the host and guest shake hands to greet each other it was hard to pull off, so we had to cut it and make sure it looked good in the editing stage. The green screen was not very large that we could work with, so we had to place it at an angle that worked with the lighting the cameras and the actual guests and the host. This was quite difficult but we managed to do it, setting up equipment in a good way, was more difficult than actual filming as it took a lot of time. Once it was done then we could start filming which was relatively easier than getting every piece of equipment perfect.

The green screen was the most visible problem in my chat show, as the lighting and the way we set up the green screen meant that there was a few gaps in our green screen, so when i tried to add in a city background in the editing stage it did not turn out well, there was creases in the cloth and so when the background was placed in the back it looked very low quality and also some parts did not come out properly, and due to the shadow we created it made the green screen look weird behind us, and so to amend this problem, the best solution i came up with was to put a white background so that the green screen did not go to waste.

Framing the shots was also another problem i faced, due to the limited space we had i had to place the cameras in front of the lights, and so they were in a weird angle and having to accommodate for a two-shot for both people, and a shot to focus on the guest, was quite difficult to manage. Moving the camera forward meant that it had to be raised for the intro of my chat show, and once it was placed down, the transition between my intro and me meeting the guest was not done very good, as we are not in frame for the first 3 seconds of the shot, and it shows us sitting down, which would not happen in actual chat shows.

The audio quality of my chat show, was good and the added sound effect and music that i added, added to the overall quality of the show, however at the start, where i am meeting the guest, the audience clapping sound effect does get cut off quite quickly, due to me talking after we sit down, and the cut is quite abrupt, which may disorientate the audience, but overall it was good in my chat show.The visual quality in my chat show was good, however the framing and the green screen added made the chat show look bad, due to the creases on the chat show, and the white background i added didn't make it that much better, the framing was biased towards the guest, so i was sometimes not in full view.

The transitions i added in the editing stage, made the scenes flow together, but they could of been improved, as due to the green screen when there was a transition, the two characters would disappear and with the black screen in the background it would then transition into the next scene, this was not done very good, real chat shows would not have this problem, due to them not having a green screen.

Other than technical issues, me personally could have used more techniques from existing chat shows and implemented them into my chat show. Such as keeping eye contact with the guest for more longer, not looking down or at the camera, also using more hand gestures to keep the audience engaged.

In this week, after editing and uploading my chat show, i had to evaluate it, which there were a few problems that i had to cover, and also i had to do a focus group asking people their opinions of my Chat show and receiving their feedback which i also incorporated into my written evaluation as well, Then i also had to briefly explain the process i went through in making my chat show. this week was all about reflecting on the Chat show that i did. The focus group and the written evaluation took the most time, and the written evaluation had to be in depth i had to analyse the work thoroughly and give times codes in where i think the aspects could be improved. The feedback was overall ok, more on the technical side of production but also a few improvements that i could do made to make the chat show more engaging to the audience.

Filming my chat show was not easy, as i had to change location a few times and setting up the equipment, and finding an appropriate time for me and my guest to film, writing and learning the script to a good standard and also finding the correct clothes to wear, the initial setting up of the equipment.

Firstly, i planned to film my chat show in the drama studio in my school, as it has black curtains that would be the background, then placing a table, to act as a desk, and then a sofa or chairs connected to each other for the guest to represent a sofa. However having asked permission to use the drama studio, the studio was never free when we was, or there was lessons or extra classes after school, after trying to film, when i could, i decided against using the drama studio as it was too hard to access.

I decided to use an empty classroom, and use a green screen to emulate the background of a chat show, i decided to use the media classroom, as all the equipment we needed would be there, moving back a few tables and setting up just normal chairs, to set the scene. There was however still insufficient room, and the lights of the green screen had to be set up pretty close, so the cameras we were filing on had to moved even closer, setting up the angles and making sure that both people were in frame when sitting down. i printed out the scripts again and we went over them briefly, them placed them on the table, if we were stuck we could use them. Filming was not a hard part as we just started the cameras and then went into frame, then i edited the blank scenes to not show and start when we come into frame. The intro of the chat show was the hardest part to film and to transition to me meeting the guest was a hard part to film, due to the limited space, having me in frame, and then moving to meet the guest to my right, was the hardest part of filming.

There was a few minor inferences while filming, students coming in and out, cleaners and also a few teachers, so we just had to re-film those scenes again, and i edited them to fit in the time-line and for it to flow. 

The editing stage was the most time consuming as having to upload footage from 2 different cameras, adding the green-screen effect and then adding the two scenes together to make sure that there was no continuity errors, and that it all flowed all together. Adding sound effects, music and transitions, images and also the 'mini' trailer that i edited to make it seem more realistic, and promote the guest/ 'artist' in my chat show. Moving from one camera angle to another, and in the editing stage making sure that the actions and words we said match in both different cameras and on the screen. After i finished editing, i uploaded it to youtube and it was finished.

This week, as i said before, i filmed my chat show, in the class room after school. as i suspected the room and spacing would be an issue, as we had to set up the cameras behind the lights but at an angle that looked at both people and one camera focusing on the guest. Also the lights have to be connected to a power supply, so there were wires running along the floor which was also quite hard to not get in the shot. We filmed all the scenes after school, and uploaded the footage we got to final cut pro, and then put the scenes in rough order, then the following day in our media lesson i edited it more thoroughly and made sure there were no mistakes and there was continuation and altering the shot types making sure the speech was not broken up and it flowed seamlessly. Then i added the sound effects and the intro slide, with some music and also edited the 'trailer' that i would be putting into my chat show. The green screen we used however did not work very well due to the shadows and gaps, i had to make it a white background due to it looking really bad with a city background.

This week, i planned we filmed my chat show. I asked my media teacher to be able to use his room after school, when it is available, then we set up the green screen and the lighting, then i printed the script that we needed and then set up the tables and chairs, then we skim read the script so we know what we had to say, so it made the chat show more professional and 'natural' as we won't be looking at the script all the time, we filmed most of the chat show and set up two cameras one focusing on the guest and one camera in a two-shot that covers both of use, we used the tripods and placed them on top of a table. so that they was higher up and could see both of us. We also used a tracking shot, going back wards when the guest was coming inside the room, i'm going to add music and effects in the editing stage so that it not a boring entry, into a classroom and make it look like and actual studio and the guest entering is going to be more engaging to the audience. i am thinking of putting a city background via the green screen as that is what most chat shows have, it will most probably be of London, as we are set in London, so it wouldn't make sense to make any other city.

This week. we changed our location from the drama studio to a empty class room, Due to the drama studio being full with after school classes we don't have time to film in those times, and we get the equipment and lighting ready, but we can't film, so the filming is being delayed, however we are going to film in an empty class room, as it would be available, and also i am going to use a green screen to emulate a 'city background' as they always do in chat shows. I think it will make it look more professional and make it more engaging to the viewer that rather just see a black curtain in the drama studio. The room however can be quite space limited with tables and chairs, which can get in the way of filming, so we have to stack them on top, and make sure that we put them back after wards. Preparation of the scene is the most hardest thing to do, rather than the filming, as we have done a rehearsal before so we know what to say and do, i should be finished this week filming, and editing and doing the correction in the next week.

In this week, i done all my pre-production work that i had to do, and arranged the times and dates that i will be filming with my Guest, we decided to film on Saturdays as the school will be most empty on those days, as we are both doing a chat show, we decided to do it on the same day so we could help each other and get more work done in a short amount of time. i will be using the drama studio which, and we would have to bring the camera and tripods with us to set it up. I also had to arrange my time according to my timetable, as other people want to use me in their game shows and chat shows, so i had to arrange separate times for them as well. 

I had to do my shooting script, which also took me quite a while as i couldn't be sure about the amount pf cameras we would have on the day of filming, and also were i am going to place the separate cameras, and if i need to move them around so that we don't just get the same angles and shots, so we would have to stop recording midway, and move the cameras around, so this project is going to take a long time, and we also would need to fix any errors or places we think that takes long too long or does not look right.

In my pitch proposal my first proposal would be to do a chat show, i would be confident and talking and improvising the conversation with my interviewee. The chat show i will be doing will have only one interviewee, as this will allow me to focus on that one person specifically. The interviewee is going to be a movie actor, so i can ask him about his future plans for movies, how hard it is to make movies and the stress that they go through, this will be the main skeleton of the questions that i will ask, i am going to do it with a with a friend so i am more comfortable with talking to him, and allowing for a more relaxed and fun atmosphere, so that the audience don't feel the tension and awkwardness and so make the show more entertaining. I will be either using a empty classroom, or i will be using the drama studio in our school, i will be also using a green screen, as most chat shows do, with a scenic background. We will have set up the tables and chairs beforehand, or we may even sue the sofas in the 6th form to make it more comfortable when sitting down and also most, chat shows do interview more than 1 person so they usually all sit together on a sofa, but considering the fact that i am only doing one, we wont need a big sofa. My tone of voice would be a calm, relaxed tone, although sounding enthusiastic and excited. I will use hand gestures to visualise and emphasise points that i am saying or trying to get across. Also i will be using a tactic, as my interviewee is a actor from the previous projects when we all made short films in small groups, using a small clip of the film that he made to present it like it's a trailer of the movie they are going to make soon.

The second proposal that i had was to make a game show, this is because again i will be asking questions to the contestant(s) and encouraging them and make sure that there is a conversation going on between us. The game show will be quiz based and i will be asking all types of questions, usually general knowledge, as if it is too specific questions, then the audience range will be very narrow as the people watching that show would like to know the questions and answers of their favourite topic, so keeping the audience range wide, allows for more audiences to be entertained and engaged in the show. For the game show i will most probably use the common room in the 6th form on a Saturday, i also need to think of a prize for the winner of the contestant, i would follow a similar structure to the game show of Who wants to be a millionaire?. I may also include lifelines that will help the contestant if they get stuck, but i want to make the questions in aw ay that i quick fire them at the contestant, so they have like a 5-10 second time limit on each question, and the amount of questions they answer will give them points, so 10 points per question, and there will be prizes according to the amount of points they have, so i would introduce a graphic that shows how much points they have and i will keep reminding them of it, and the grand prize that requires them to get 200 points, so there is no room for error, the problem with having a quick questions type, is that i will have to either memorise all 20 questions so that i can quickly say them, or have like a sheet of paper that i can rest on a table, or i may use the metals and that teachers use in assembly to put their sheets down, and i will be standing up and asking the questions, another problem with having a quick fire round is that it will last a very short time, and i was thinking of a 10 minute minimum time in my game show (and chat show) so i  may have to add extra questions to the normal part of the show and have the quick fire round as a bonus to allow the contestant(s) to rack up more points, but this would require me to change and alter the point system and the points at which the prizes are won.

Selim: (Intro) Welcome to Saturdays With Selim, with your obvious host Selim! How is everyone doing? Great! I am obliged to introduce the special guest for Today: Shihab Malik!

* After we both sit down *

Selim: Hello, Shihab. It's so great to see you, how are you? I Haven't seen you for a long time. I'm fine thanks for asking.

Shihab: Hi, Selim. I'm great thanks.

Selim: Alright first question, So we know that your a famous Actor, and you've had successful movies in the past, breaking box office records, tell us whats the secret to being so successful?

Shihab: Well, i think that acting and being able to express opinions and emotions when you want, is a thing that requires talent, to be comfortable and relaxed while doing so.

Selim: So your telling me that i cant become a famous actor just like you? I have the 'moves' and cool things that you do from watching all your amazing Movies, where you always save the day, in a particular explosive fashion.

Shihab: That's why i make great movies, you are a big fan of me aren't you?

Selim: Yes, i watched nearly all of your movies.

Selim: Next Question, what is it like being a very successful actor? what are the bad sides to it, the negatives?

Shihab: Well, shooting a film is actually really stressful, we have to re-take and re-take over and over again until it's perfect or good enough for the director. Doing the same scene with the same lines and actions gets really annoying and boring.

Selim: i would of thought so, to create one episode for my other show, took so long, and we had to get it right 100% all the time.

Selim: So the social life part of it, it's really mixed as i can tell from the gossip and celebrity news.

Shihab: It's really mixed as you say, everyone wants to be famous and known, so everyone talks about you and people follow you and do everything you do, copy your haircut to just researching the clothes you wear, so that they can wear it as well. It makes you very influential, but there's a down side to that. You can't be what you want to do, always have to be on point, and not to mention the paparazzi, they are without a doubt one of the most annoying aspects of being a celebrity.

Selim: So, what is your favourite movie that you've made?

Shihab: It's got to be the Rogue-agent series, the actors i worked along with just made me happy, they were actually very nice people, we had to actually go to the locations, which meant that i actually got to travel and see different places. The director actually emphasised with all the actors and when a scene just wasn't going right, he would come over to me and ask if i was ok, it was a really friendly atmosphere, and i think that's why i won the award for my acting, i was relaxed and in my 'zone' it was comfortable and i was really close to the actors.

Selim: I think everyone can agree that the Rogue-Agent series were probably the best you've done, That fight scene where you bashed that guy's head in, and also I have to say, the car chase scene and the amazing stunt, That wasn't you was it?

Shihab: That's a industry secret.

*Audience laughs*

Selim: Next question, what is your plans for the future? i know about the next film, as we have a preview for the audience to look at, but after that, you have 2 oscar's and a history of really good films, what is the next step for that?

Shihab: I actually don't know, i like to live my life as it goes on, i'm not much of a planned out person. An offer comes through for a film, i want to produce good movies for people to watch, believable movies, taken inspiration from history or real events, that i'd be comfortable with acting in such a movie.

Selim: You have strong views on modern films, you keep going on about green-screen and CGI, 'IF' you do a movie with a green-screen and i find out, i will upload this episode of you bashing green-screen, and then we'll just have to wait it out, to see how many of your fans leave you

*Audience laughs*

Shihab: No, never, it just takes away the effort and determination everyone puts in, we're all just Funneled into a hot, boiling studio, and told to act as if we were around a building or park, i just want be able to actually go to those places.

Selim: So what's the theme of the 'future' movie your making that we stole a few scenes of?

Shihab: It's about betrayal, and making the wrong decisions in life, it's set in London, It's about friendships, and how one thing can go and create a chain of events that ultimately lead to the main character going down a path, not suited for him.

Selim: So, it's a break from all the constant action, and killing faceless henchmen is it? I think you've done so many movies like that, that it's impossible to think of you in a more slower paced, 'friendship' type of movie.

Shihab: Oh, no. you'll still get your violence, where i basically kill someone with a knife, but we haven't shot that scene yet, *audience moans* so you'll just have to see me grabbing the knife.

Selim: So whats the total body count? It's got to be double digits right?

Shihab: No,just about 3 or 4 people, like i said it's more about development of the characters and how they interlink and connect with each other.

Selim: I think we've kept the audience waiting for long enough, lets show what we've got.

Shihab: This should be good, they don't usually get to ask me these type of questions, so they'll probably ask me the most weird questions.

Selim: Okay, the first question from your fans is: What got you into acting? How did you go down that path?

Shihab: I always liked drama in school, which meant that i was one of the best in my class, my teacher pushed me to extreme limits and it paid off, then i worked in theatre's for a while and then i was approached after a show, and i was given a trial and then signed a contract with my first film.

Selim; The next one says: What is the most challenging role you've had to do?

Shihab: Probably, where i had to be the 'supposed' antagonist, about time paradox's and space travel, that movie's plot was so confusing, even i sometimes questioned my self as to what i was doing.

Selim: This one says, When are you getting married? * Audience woos *

Shihab: Yes, i've recently got engaged * Crows goes wild *, and we're, i mean She's planning it all and its set to be this summer,

Selim: Congrats on that, but the real question is... am i invited to the wedding?

Shihab: Like i said she's planning everything, so i don't know but it's most probably going to be on a island where we can spent quality time together.

Tripods: They will be set up around the classroom that we will be filming in. So they could fall if someone touches or nudges them and, they could break and maybe hurt people around them. 

Wires: They may be wires around as we will have 2-3 cameras so, we need to make sure that they are not being stretched so that people do not trip on them, so make sure that they are placed parallel to the floor and maybe underneath tables etc.

For my presentation i will do a chat show, as i am known to be quite talkative, and i am not shy to talk or use gestures in front of the camera, i would prepare pre-set questions and then show them to my interviewee so that they have an idea as to where i am coming from, however their answers will be natural and i will react naturally their reaction as well, i am quite good at thinking on the spot and i would not make it awkward for the interviewee as i am quite good at carrying on conversations, although this would require for me to interview some one i am comfortable to to talk and laugh with, i would add a few aspects of humour to keep the audience engaged as they would laugh at a memorable joke or activity that we are doing.

My target audience would be ranging from 18-30 years of age, all races, A-E socio-economic class and all races and ethnicity. I selected these target audiences as i think they would enjoy a chat show the most as they are the ranges as to where they follow celebrities and their life and look up to them as as role model. I think we will all do our show's in the classroom, with possibly a green screen to make an authentic background suiting the con text of the show that we are all going to do, this would require me to find an image of a chat show that is empty, or if not, we could just place to two tables together and i could sit on the other end and my guest will sit on the other end. The visual techniques that i will use would be through the use of my hands to do gestures, to emphasise or visualise something to the audience, also facial expressions relevant to the response or situation that we are in with the interviewee.

The people who are going to be involved are obviously me, as the presenter. and the interviewee count i am not sure at this moment. but i think no more than 3. preferably 1 as this would mean i focus on one guest and so talk and engage with them more in depth rather than talking to a lot of guests just on the surface. I was thinking of doing it with one of my class members, preferably a friend so that we can keep the conversation going easier and that there is no awkwardness during the show.

The problems that i could encounter is that i maybe cannot find a empty image of a studio that looks like a chat show, which means that i would have to find a location that does not have anything that obstructs or looks out of place when i am doing my show, as i cannot do a green screen and a suitable background will be needed. Another problem is that my friends or people in my class may not be available to go through the questions that i have written before, or they might not want to be in front of the camera, or they would just be busy doing their own presentation.

I would follow a similiar structure to the popular Chat show Host, Conan O'Brien. where he interviews celebrities, by adding humour to the dialogue, he also sometimes has games that he set up with certain celebrities. He always wears a suit as he is is on national TV and he has to dress appropriately also if there is a person that he respects or looks up to them he would have to wear formally as not to disrespect them in any way. He speaks in a formal manner when addressing the interviewee. he usually asks questions about their life and what they are doing at the moment and what their plans are for the future.

If i cannot do a chat show host then i would do a game show host, as it is more straightforward as i just need contestants to play a game, and then i comment and encourage them through my dialogue, the game would be simple like catchphrase or countdown, where the contestant compete together, i would announce the score/points of each contestant and encourage the contestant that are falling behind by saying that they have time to catch up etc. I just have to respond to their answers and tell them to keep pushing forward. I would still have to dress smartly, maybe not a full suit, but dressing smart is a must. I have chosen this role as i think it would be easy for me to do besides having a competition would mean that the contestant would do some of the talking as they would try to guess or discuss, argue etc. I also chose this role because it requires you to constantly speak and say things to the competitors of the game, and i am good at speaking non-stop, i could just say things that comes to my mind, i am good at improvising.

My target audience would depend on the game i choose, but generally i think 13-30 age range, A-E socio-economic class, all races and ethnicities. Some game shows require more intelligence and general knowledge which would appeal to more older audiences as they would have more general information and experience that younger audiences, where as younger audiences might enjoy a more specific or physical type competition which would appeal to younger audiences more.

The verbal and visual techniques that i will be using is that i would have a calm tone, that would relax the competitors and also get them more engaged, i would add humour or jokes in the game show, if it is a less serious game show where the atmosphere is more laid-back, but some game shows depend to make the game show more serious and make it more dramatic especially if there is a large sum of money to be won at the end. the verbal techniques i would use are that i would be consistent in my speech often repeating words or phrases to show the importance of it, my pace of delivery would be at a normal/quick speed, again depending on the show as if it is the final or it is a difficult situation i would probably speak slowly to create suspense and excitement for the audience. The visual techniques that i will be using is the use of hand gestures, and facial expressions to explain or tell the situation tot he audience, why i would dress would be casual. or smart casual, so a full suit not needed but to look presentable wearing smartly is a good choice. I would have to also have good body posture as i am sitting down, slouching or lying down would not look professional or good, and would confuse the audience as that is not normal.

The location of the game show would be in the school, i would most probably do a quiz like show, where i ask contestant questions, and they compete to answer it right. the contestants are going to be my friends from school as finding other people would take long, The location would probably be in a classroom so that i can sit at the front and ask them questions.

The problems that i might encounter is that, if i make the question too hard then my competitors will not know any of the questions and it could ruin the whole show, and it would also be awkward. Another problem is that i might not be able to find an empty classroom or be able to gather enough contestants for my game show, at a given time which could lead to confusion and not being able to do it on time.

I am possibly thinking of drawing inspiration from the game show The chase, where the contestants challenge a 'mastermind' on questions to try and raise money by answering questions. The presenter usually sides with the contestants and encourages them on and gives them praise if they answer a question wrong. the presenter is usually calm in his tone of voice and keeps it relaxed, does talk with the 'mastermind' if they both get a question wrong and says the right answer, then moves on, there is a small use of hand gestures to try and visualise an answer.

Food Program Presenter

My last option would to do a recipe program where i teach the audience how to make a 'new' recipe, this is where i would need to tell the audience what i am doing every in every step, i would also give tips or advice to how to do certain things to make it taste better or the meal to be cooked quicker, i would also relate it to family meals as, most of the people that watch these type of shows are parents and so they could relate to the situation. I would use a lot of hand gestures to emphasise parts of the recipe that is crucial or to make an impact on people to try and make them eat healthy foods. I would not have to wear smartly as i would be in a 'home' environment, but i would have to still be wearing appropriate clothes, i would also have to take care of the 'hygiene' aspect as to make sure that my audience also follow my steps.

My target audience would be 18-30, B-D socio-economic class, all races and ethnicities. I chose this age range because this is when people start to learn and have to cook for themselves so they would tune into these type of shows to learn. I chose a B-D economic class because i think the people with economic class of A would usually have someone else preparing the meal for them, and the economic class of E would probably not have enough money to be able to purchase all the 'special' ingredients required for the recipe.

The visual techniques that the presenter would use is excessive use of hand gestures as they need to exaggerate or emphasise certain points of the recipe, and to also show quick or tips on certain parts of the recipe, use of facial expressions to express their emotions and feelings, and they would have good posture usually standing up as they will be cooking, they would have to face the camera most of the time, and go through each step. The verbal techniques would be that they speak in a fast pace as they are trying to get all the steps done quickly, have a calm tone of voice in order not to panic the audience, also consistent in recreating words or phrases to emphasize a point by repeating it many times to the audience.

Since it is a cooking show it would have to take place in a kitchen, as i would have to cook the meal and show it to the audience, showing the ingredients etc. and then show how to prepare the meal. It could either be in the Kitchen in school, or in my house.

The problems that i could face is that i could not have permission to use the kitchens in both locations which would mean that i would have to find an alternative which could take long, and also a personal barrier, i would have to actually learn the recipe and cook it perfectly, and if i'm cooking then i need someone to be able to record me from different angles shots etc. As if i am alone then it would just be one angle and shot continuing which would make the audience less interested over time as it is the same shot.

I would take inspiration from Jamie's 30 minute meals. As he cooks food quickly and tells every step of the way to the audience. He is in a home environment and usually wears casual clothing, uses his hands a lot and gives small tips and tricks to get more taste and flavour out of each meal, i will follow in his footsteps but with a far less complicated recipe. Jamie is usually quite frantic and quick to do things in his show, so i may have to make it a bit more slower as i do not have a 30 minute time limit that i have to compete the meal.

News presenter:

The news presenter needs to be able to be impartial in his view while; presenting the news, as he is not supposed to influence the audience in away. He has to have a good body language and wear formal clothes, He needs to be 'serious' at all times due to him being presenting a wide range of news stories that have come through, although he should be able to adapt accordingly, as if there is a new story that is light hearted and joyful then the presenter can have a smile of have a joyful tone of voice, and vice versa for serious new story, like of a death of a celebrity or a war going on, then he would have a serious expression on his face, and would possibly not comment further on the matter. The BBC news has to be impartial and only inform the audience that is watching them.

The news presenter always wears formal clothes and it is not different this time either, however due to the correspondent being actively in a war zone, they have takes a few safety precautions and so have made him wear a bullet proof vest, in order to protect him as much as possible. However the correspondent is still wearing, formal clothes with a shirt and trousers. This possibly connotes that it is a serious issue, and that he is trying to look presentable while being in very hard conditions for the news. The correspondent speaks calmly in his tone and also has a slow deliver of speech, to try and assure the audience perhaps ISIS is losing the war, however through the facial expressions and hand gestures, he looks nervous, because he is a war zone, and the worst could always happen.

Continuity Announcer:

The continuity announcer for E4, is a 'laid' back person, and is usually quite cheerful and would possibly make jokes relevant to the next programme coming, This matches the target audience as E4's audience are primarily teenagers with the shows that they provide, and so the continuity announcer has to possibly relate to them or say things that would make them happy or laugh. They must have a fast pace of delivery has they have to announce the next programme and give information about it a few seconds, and their tone would be cheerful and they could possibly be loud, and they would present it in a cheerful excited mood, and not a calm, dull voice. They are not seen on screen so there are no visual techniques being used. There also may be informal language used, although quite rare, and they would also give a heads up on the situation that is going to unravel in the next episode of the program they are going to present.

Broadcast Journalist:

The broadcast Journalist would have a serious tone to their voice, they would wear clothes appropriate to the situation and usually look professional in their area, they would also have a broad vocabulary that they choose from and their sentencing and paragraphing would be in a direct and 'scripted' way as they have to tell the story in a structured way, as there are no room for error, they would plan out everything from before, and then proceed to do it. They would be formally dressed as their job would require them to do so. They would adapt their movement and gestures according to the story, but would usually be sitting with good posture and body language, there wont be much use of the hands unless trying to emphasis or show something.

They would have a quick style of delivery as they would be on a time schedule, so they would have to get all the important information out, they would also do the interviews and so have a good body language and respect the interviewee by wearing appropriate clothes, have a calm tone of speaking and asking important questions that the audience would want to know.

Magazine Program Presenter:

A magazine program such as the one show, covers a lot of topics and so they would have to adapt according to the situation, and change the way they present one thing from another, so they could have a serious and sad mood, then they would have to cover a story that makes them laugh and is cheerful and they would have to change themselves accordingly.

The presenters of the one show usually wear quite causal clothing, a shirt with standard trousers and no tie, usually the shirt would not be buttoned fully as they are not in a 'proper' news presenting situation, and also they interview celebrities and the have a happy and light hearted mood as they make jokes, so wearing formal clothes would not suit the occasion. They would have a fast deliver of their speech as they would want to cover all the topics that they have, they would have a cheerful mood or happy one to their speech and their body language would be more relaxed, they wouldn't be laying about but they can be a bit more relaxed and not have to stand up straight for the whole time. They would use their hands a lot as they would try to explain something and their facial expressions would be smiling or have a 'happy' feel to it.

Lifestyle Program Presenter:

Lifestyle programs usually cover a narrow range of topics so they can focus on a certain area, they would however wear casual clothes as well, a shirt trousers, jumper etc. Maybe a t-shirt if on a very hot day. They would usually show new products and food etc. Just showcasing new things that have hit the shops and possibly trying to make you buy those products to make your lifestyle better.

They would have funny and lively mood to them, which is appropriate to the audience, as they are people who want to have a 'better' lifestyle, and so making it a funny and joyful program means that they will enjoy it more, they have a fast delivery of speech, as this could possibly excite the audience as they are wanting for a climax of the show. Their visual techniques that they move around a lot, as they move from products to another, and also use of hands and gestures as they are trying to emphasis or show something to the audience.

Documentary Presenter: 

Documentary Presenter would usually speak quieter, as he would be in a wild-life habitat so they would speak quietly in order not to disturb the animals. the host would speak calmly and slowly. The pace of delivery would be slow as the host would try to explain everything about the animals. The host would have quite diverse vocabulary. The host would use his hands a lot, as he tries to emphasis or visualise something to the audience. The way the host speaks is appropriate to the audience as they would understand the situation as, people who watch wild-life documentaries are either interested in to learning about the animal in the documentary, or are active watchers of the host as they like his style of portraying things and his speech. The host also has facial expressions which emphasize or shows how he is feeling about a certain thing that has happened in the documentary 

The documentary is about of the life of lions in the savannah in Africa. The host has to be cautious as Lions can be aggravated once they are moved to close to, or if the person trespasses onto their 'territory' so the host is far way and monitors and films the lions form a far away place by zooming in with the camera. The host is usually in front of the camera explaining and showing things to the audience, The host would usually wear quite casual clothes as he is in a very hot location, so wearing a t-shirt and shorts, is appropriate as wearing a suit in wild-life locations would not make nay sense, as he has to walk on rough terrain. the clothes are suited and appropriate to the theme. 

DJ:

In the BBC radio 1. The 'Fire In The Booth' series, are when known UK rappers and artist come tot he studio and have to rap on the spot, a 'freestyle'. There a variety of artist who come, and the theme is very light hearted as the host jokes around with the rappers and has funny conversations with them before starting the show.

The Studio Host, wears very informal clothes, usually with a hat, and jackets with Nike etc. The host is the DJ and he plays out the instrumental for the artists to rap on, He also adds in sounds effects to make the situation more excited and hyped. He also uses very informal language as he uses slang terms, which all suit the audience, as the audience that watches these series are usually teenagers who like rap and listen to it a lot, and the clothes that charlie wears are usually what teenagers wear as well. He is usually very loud and shouty, due to him being excited and hyped about the rapping that is going on, he uses his hands a lot to emphasise and 're-wind' the track. His facial expressions are natural and are usually in joy or shock of what the rappers have said. His body language is relaxed as well, as he is just enjoying the music, and the lyrics, after the rapping has finished he comments on the rapping and gives it a rating.

Chat Show Host:

A Chat show, has the host and their interviewees, a chat show is meant to be humorous and so the host would usually make a lot of jokes, and also ask funny questions to the interviewee's they would have a funny tone to their voice, they would speak quite fast a friendly like mood and speech. the dialogue is not scripted so it is all natural, and all responses are also real. They would usually wear formal clothes however, they usually wear suits, this is maybe because they want to look professional and presentable on TV, although i reckon a suit may be too formal for a chat show with a light heart and fun 'feel' to it. Casual clothes would also be a better match. The suit could also be out of respect for the Interviewees as they would be wearing a suit or smart clothes as well, so contrasting with their attire amy feel a bit odd and awkward between the two people.

There would be a lot of use of facial expressions as they laugh and joke about, or when they react to a current situation. They would use hand gestures a lot as they explain jokes or ask questions to the interviewees. They would have a very relaxed body language, as if they were just talking to a friend. The interviewees may also be very relaxed and do funny things, as the sole purpose of a chat show is to get the celebrities better and have a fun time.

Game Show Host:

The Show, that people play to win money. Golden Balls. There are 4 contestant that try to get out of the knockout stage by arguing that they have better money figures on their back row, and then, they vote out one person, then they have another knockout stage where they argue again for the back row, which no one can see except them, and so one more person is eliminated. then they play together to get the highest amount of money possible by picking the balls by turns, and then the last section where they must pick split or steal, and if they both split the split the money they get, or if they both pick steal they go together with nothing, and if one person picks steak and the other split, the person with the steal takes all the money

The host would adapt accordingly to the situation, there could be a time where the contestants do not receive any money or lose out, so they would act and speak accordingly. if there is a serious high number of money at stake then the show host would have a serious tone and have a slow pace of delivery as he would want to emphasise the importance and the pressure of picking the right balls to win the most amount of money and try to avoid the killer balls which decrease your money by dividing it by 10. However during the first parts of the show, when they are introducing the 4 contestant there is a light hearted mood as they joke about and have fun times, the host also would speak fastly in order to push the show forward, as they would be on a time limit. The host also uses his hands a lot as he opens and moves the balls around and gives them to the contestant, he has also a lot of facial expressions as he tries to talk to the contestant and ask them questions like ' are you sure?'. The host is always standing up and has a good body language and he does not lean. He has serious expressions and times, due to the high stress caused by the contestant as they try to argue their way out of the knockout stage at the start of the show.
